Caroline Ventura, a student at Chaffey High School, and Arlene Elena Avila of Ontario High School are the 2020 California Girls State delegates chosen to represent Ontario American Legion Auxiliary Unit 112.

Both are finishing their junior year of high school and they are two of 500 girls chosen this year for California Girls State.

The Girls State program is normally a weeklong conference in June in which delegates participate in workshops that give them the experience of running for local, county and state government offices. One girl from California would then be chosen to represent the state at the Girls Nation conference in Washington, D.C., attended by representatives from all 50 states.
